J&G Meakin Covered Vegetable Bowl. Found in 1851, J. & G. Meakin was an English pottery manufacturing company and based in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. In the 19th century, J. & G. Meakin was known for the vast quantities of cheap ironstone china produced for the domestic English market and for export to Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United States. This is a delightful vegetable bowl that stands 3 inches tall and 8 ½ inches around. The stamp indicates that it was manufactured c. 1912+.
