French Style Camelback Sofa

While we are not able to identify the exact style and period of this sofa, but we are all in love with it.  This has recently come into our inventory.  It is in very good condition needing a steam leaning only.  The elegant camelback is a style of antique Georgian sofa that also remains highly coveted to this day. It is not difficult to understand from where it begets its name: the camelback frame has a distinctive ‘hump’ in the canter which gives it a curving linearity. Typically, the seat is suspended over a heightened frame whose simple angularity contrasts with the graceful, arched back. Some might feel that the antique camelback sofa is too formal for modern interiors but this is far from being true. Full Disclosure:  This sofa is in great condition and shows minimum wear for its age.  Again we are not 100% of its style or linage as there are nor labels or distinctive markings on the piece.  We do know it is a well built piece that can be put to use as is or reupholstered to fit you style.
